Overview

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a n experienced Cyber subject matter expert (SME) who can join our team and provide support to the leadership of the U.S. Army's financial system of record product office - General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). This is largely a remote position ( currently 4 days telework/week) supporting the GFEBS Product Office in Crystal City, VA.

General Fund Enterprise Business System - Sensitive Activities (GFEBS-SA) is a fully functional GFEBS application hosted on the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet). It includes additional performance and security requirements to protect Sensitive Activity National Security information. It is a financial Business Enterprise System capable of processing classified information up to the SECRET collateral level vital to enable the Army to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements. The system protects the information it processes at the appropriate classification level and limits user access to only "need to know" organizational information. GFEBS-SA is a National Security System (NSS), as designated by the Army Chief Information Officer (CIO) / G-6.

GFEBS is fully fielded to Army and DoD organizations around the world. The Product Office continues to develop and field enhancements to the system to facilitate a clean audit and strengthen overall system security. This position will p rovide Cybersecurity expertise to the GFEBS and GFEBS-SA team supporting the systems and leadership within the portfolio . The client leverages MS Teams and SharePoint for coordination and collaboration, so any candidate must be fully versed with these systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

Candidate should possess experience as an EA/Operations support with an U.S. Army, other Service , or other DoD organization and be comfortable interacting with senior leadership , often summarizing (verbally and/or written) reports, papers, memo's . Candidate must be detail oriented and very organized to meet the fast paced nature of the Product Office. In addition to MS Teams and SharePoint, the candidate must be very proficient with MS Word and PowerPoint and have some knowledge with MS Excel . Experience with DTS and TMT is a plus.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide senior cybersecurity expertise supporting the GFEBS Main and GFEBS-SA programs to ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 guidelines
  • Perform PD GFEBS Cyber liaison functions to PM Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) Technical Management Division (TMD) for all Cyber functions, to include upcoming Enterprise Tools initiative
  • Prepare, submit and maintain the GFEBS Main and GFEBS-SA RMF compliance packages
  • Prepare, maintain and support the GFEBS Main and GFEBS-SA cybersecurity documents and procedures
  • Prepare documentation for Assess Only and Change Requests software certifications packages as required
  • Perform Continuous Monitoring and control reassessment of cybersecurity controls for GFEBS Main and GFEBS-SA
  • Supported the analysis, planning, and documentation of identifying critical infrastructure asset identification .
  • Performed Information Assurance operations of?Critical Infrastructure to include: analyzing vulnerability scan results, supporting?vulnerability remediation or?providing mitigations for open technical vulnerabilities,?performing continuous monitoring on open vulnerabilities,?ensuring compliance will Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and? Perform Cyber Security Impact Analysis (CSIA) on?all proposed changes affecting GFEBS Main and GFEBS-SA critical infrastructure and participated in?Change Management discussions to include management of all proposed Change Requests (CRs).
  • Support weekly cybersecurity teleconferences with the GFEBS Main and GFEBS SA to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture
  • Review and approve GFEBS Main and GFEBS-SA system access requests Communicate complex technical concepts and project information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences of varying position levels and provide situational awareness to facilitate better decision making by the government;
    • Provide insight into industry trends and make recommendations on future direction for the program cybersecurity systems and network defenses to provide effective incident response capabilities and usable and effective reports that address overall situational awareness;
    • Review and make recommendations on program-level documentation (e.g., requirements specification, system architecture, design documents, test plans, security plans, etc.).


Education, Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must posses a Secret clearance
  • Masters Degree in a related field
  • 10 years of related experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain flexible work hours (work hours are consistent but occasional ad hoc requirements may necessitate flexible hours - Comp Time available)
  • Experience performing and/or supporting Cybersecurity activities in the Department of Defense (DoD) or federal agencies
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to create high-value deliverables, including but not limited to monthly performance reports, ad hoc reports, presentations, graphics, whitepapers and executive summaries to senior leadership;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Strong briefing skills as presentations to senior leaders is anticipated
  • Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Tools (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, etc ).
  • IAT Level II certified
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Specific Qualifications

  • Experience with Army, other Services/DoD is preferred
  • SAP solution design and business process experience
  • Cybersecurity Management experience


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Majority of work remote, occasional travel to client and/or customer/stakeholder location within the Washington DC Metro area.
