German & Portuguese Pedagogist

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled German & Portuguese Pedagogist to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, UI Designers, UX Researchers, and Engineers to define pedagogical guidelines and evaluation rubrics tailored to learners of German and Portuguese across multiple proficiency levels.
• You will evaluate AI/LLM-generated content, create high-quality learning examples, and provide insights that directly shape the product experience for language learners.
• This role is ideal for someone who combines expertise in teaching languages with experience in content design and a passion for building engaging digital learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and define quality rubrics for evaluating AI/LLM-generated speaking, listening, vocabulary, and learning recommendations across proficiency levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced).
• Create golden examples of learning content and scenarios tailored to different learner levels in German and Portuguese.
• Evaluate and refine LLM-generated learning content, ensuring pedagogical accuracy and learner relevance.
• Partner with UX and Product teams to test product experiences, providing actionable feedback and pedagogical insights.
• Analyze learner needs, pain points, and comprehension gaps; propose user-centered solutions aligned with product and technology constraints.
• Leverage data and metrics to assess product effectiveness and inform improvements.
• Stay current with language learning trends and competitor products to provide informed recommendations.

Experience:

• 3+ years of professional experience teaching German and Portuguese to non-native speakers.
• Demonstrated experience in language learning content design for German and Portuguese.
• Fluency in English for cross-team collaboration and communication.

Skills:

• German and Portuguese speaking

Education:

• Degree in Language Teaching, Applied Linguistics, or a related field.
