Job Description
Job Duties: Associate, Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Perform fundamental credit analysis of commercial real estate related assets/products, including Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans, loan securitizations, and derivatives thereof. Construct technical analysis for trade ideas related to commercial real estate products and macro credit and rates products. Develop empirical models to complement statistical analysis of index-based products, that will be utilized to recommend investment strategies for the Firm and to clients. Make markets in mortgage securities which includes setting prices, providing clients liquidity in commercial real estate-backed securitizations (and related derivates thereof), and facilitating two-way client flow while risk managing exposures for the Firm. Work directly with the Firm's salespeople to analyze exposure, structure transactions, and explain quantitative concepts to clients. Work directly with the Firm's desk-strategists and Global Technology Division to develop solutions for risk analysis and enhance existing infrastructure for changing trends within the market.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Financial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related quantitative field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years with: developing pro-forma cash flow models for single commercial real estate loans/assets including portfolios of related assets; reviewing and analyzing sub-market ("MSA") level trends for occupancy, rent/expense, capitalization rates, and sale comps; perform regression data analytics on historical trading data, specifically related to the CMBS Index called "CMBX"; communicating technical risk issues with a wide range of stakeholders including in response to customer inquiries; and working with fixed income products including interest rate swaps, credit derivatives (credit default swaps ("CDS"), credit default swap indices, total return swaps ("TRS")), exchange-traded funds ("ETF") and derivates thereof. Travel required to visit customers approximately 5% of the time.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $150,000 - $215,000.
