Role: Google Cloud Platform Architect / SME
Location:Washington DC ,Eagan MN ,St Louis MO, Wilkes-Barre P San Mateo CA , Raleigh or Morrisville NC or Remote
Duration: 12 months
Client: IPS/USPS
Note: candidates meet the residency requirements (Last 5 years in the US with no more than 6 months out of the country).
List of tasks to be performed:
o Expert knowledge of Google cloud services and have an Active Google Cloud Associate or Professional certification.
o Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and evaluate existing and proposed business systems and procedures, develop requirements and identify Google cloud centric system solutions in detailed measurable terms that achieve optimum performance and cost effectiveness.
o Experience leading the design, development and deployment of performant cloud business software, in particular Google cloud, at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
o Ability to integrate cloud services, in particular on Google cloud, with other SaaS or on premise technologies from leading vendor products Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, Linux, SAP, etc.
o Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, sufficient to develop and present management briefings; provide written and/or verbal guidance on technical issues; and prepare/present recommendations and reports.
o Ability to automate complex tasks, in particular on Google cloud, using scripting or coding skills, or similar current automation tools (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, or Puppet).
o Using design patterns for building scalable and maintainable applications/solutions.
o Clearly document code, models, and technical solutions.
o Proficiency in Generative AI and prompt engineering.
o Continuous learning and adaptability in a very large IT organization.
o Communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders.
o Troubleshooting software and technical implementations in large-scale enterprise ecosystems.
o Understanding of concepts like CI/CD, containerization, and deployment strategies for kafka components in large-scale production environments.
o Querying and managing data in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
o Proficiency creating technical diagrams with products like Microsoft Visio or Draw.io.
o Proficiency creating technical design and architecture documents in Microsoft Word.
o Proficiency creating business and technical presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
o Proficiency creating data representations, charts and reports in tools such as Microsoft s Excel worksheets and Power BI.
