Role Overview
Our client, a leader in the FINTECH industry is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst who will be responsible for safeguarding high-impact mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. In this role, you ll be at the center of complex transactions identifying risks, shaping decisions, and partnering with leaders across the organization to ensure security is built in from day one.
What You ll Do
- Lead in-depth security risk assessments for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, helping the business move forward with confidence.
- Partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather insights, analyze data, and uncover potential risks.
- Develop clear, actionable risk reports and present key findings to senior leadership, translating complex issues into meaningful business impact.
- Collaborate with M&A, IT security, legal, and compliance teams to address security risks throughout the due diligence process.
- Track and monitor ongoing M&A activities, ensuring risks are effectively managed and mitigation strategies stay on course.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of progressive experience in IT security, with a strong foundation in risk management.
- Experience with evolving regulations and standards (including NYDFS, SOX, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA), and continuously improve security risk management practices.
- A proven ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to work effectively with executives, technical teams, and external partners alike.
