Hands on Tech Lead

Lead, mentor, and support the global IT service desk team, ensuring efficient workload distribution and professional growth.

• Manage the Managed Service Provider (MSP), overseeing their daily operations, adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and ensuring alignment with business requirements.

Infrastructure Oversight and Project Management

• Plan, budget, and oversee the lifecycle management of global IT infrastructure.
• Manage IT projects from initiation through execution, including defining scopes, assigning resources, tracking timelines, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand evolving business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
• Maintain visibility and control over all active projects, managing risks and ensuring timely completion within budget and scope.

Vendor and Contract Management

• Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Regularly evaluate vendor performance against agreed metrics and SLAs.

Cybersecurity and Compliance Management

• Establish and  a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with organizational risk tolerance, regulatory obligations, and evolving threat landscapes. Ensure seamless integration of security protocols across infrastructure, applications, and user environments.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration between internal teams and the MSP to implement and continuously refine security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), email threat protection, data loss prevention (DLP), endpoint security, and privileged access governance.
• Drive compliance excellence by embedding industry standards (e.g., NIST 800 series, CIS Benchmarks, ISO/IEC 27001) into operational workflows. Monitor regulatory developments and proactively adapt policies to maintain alignment with SEC, GDPR, and other applicable frameworks.
• Oversee incident response planning and tabletop exercises, ensuring the organization is prepared to detect, contain, and recover from cybersecurity events with minimal disruption.
• Promote a culture of security awareness and accountability, partnering with HR and Legal to deliver training, enforce policy adherence, and manage third-party risk.

Emerging Technology and Innovation

• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency
• Provide guidance on the responsible adoption and management of new technologies such as AI, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.

Business Continuity and Risk Management

• Lead disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
• Regularly assess and mitigate risks related to IT infrastructure and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably in financial services 
• Proven track record managing teams, projects, and external service providers.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts, including networks, cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft 365), identity management, and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and strategic IT initiatives.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively while maintaining strategic oversight.
