Hardware Program Manager / 100% Onsite Required (Redmond, WA) / (12 Month Contract)

  • Must be local to the greater Seattle, WA area and able to work onsite 5 days per week in Redmond, WA.
  • Incredibly organized, thousands of parts across thousands of vendors
  • Communication written and verbal, engaging with supply chain managers and other suppliers and partners
  • Technical ability, don't need to know how to configure a switch but need to know what it is and what it does, so know what state it is when it comes in
  • Experience building up labs

Description
  • Must be local to the greater Seattle, WA area and be able to work onsite in Redmond, WA 5 days per week.
  • This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our test labs, supporting the company's hardware and software development initiatives, and driving operational excellence across our lab infrastructure.
  • Seeking a detail-oriented Hardware Program Manager to oversee our Lab Build processes across multiple development teams and locations.
  • The ideal candidate will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware procurement, assembly, and operations for our test laboratories, supporting both software and hardware development initiatives.
  • This role requires strong collaboration skills to work effectively with a diverse group of internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, finance, procurement, and senior leadership.
  • The Hardware Program Manager will be instrumental in developing and implementing new mechanisms to enhance lab efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement processes for lab hardware and equipment, working closely with vendors and internal procurement teams
  • Implement and maintain robust material tracking and inventory management systems across multiple lab locations
  • Oversee test lab assembly, ensuring efficient and timely setup to meet both hardware and software development needs
  • Support ongoing lab operations and maintenance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet lab build requirements and align with project timelines
  • Optimize processes for cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement new mechanisms to improve lab operations, including automation and standardization of processes
  • Create and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track lab utilization, costs, and performance metrics
  • Present regular status updates and performance reports to leadership and relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with software and hardware development teams to understand and anticipate future lab requirements
  • Manage and allocate lab resources effectively across multiple projects and teams
  • Develop and maintain documentation for lab processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab capabilities and support evolving technological needs

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware program management
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and inventory management practices
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, databases, and reporting platforms (ex. Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, SAP)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and implementing process improvements in a technical environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $63.00/hr.
