Job Description:
Role Overview:
- Define, architect, and lead the end-to-end cloud infrastructure and web application architecture strategy for a healthcare provider organization, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, secure web platforms, operational stability, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive modernization across cloud infrastructure, web application hosting, DevOps, observability, security operations, and production support models, ensuring high availability, scalability, and continuous service reliability for business-critical healthcare applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect scalable, secure Azure cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise web applications and healthcare platforms.
- Define reference architectures for web applications, including UI, API, middleware, and backend integration layers.
- Design and govern secure, scalable hosting models using Azure App Services, VMs, managed databases, and supporting services.
- Establish non-functional architecture standards covering performance, availability, security, observability, and maintainability.
- Design and govern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using ARM templates to ensure consistency across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Define high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and service continuity strategies for web and backend workloads.
- Govern CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins, including branching strategies, release governance, and artifact management.
- Embed security, compliance, and quality gates into application delivery pipelines.
- Lead Zero Trust architecture covering web applications, APIs, and infrastructure layers using Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, UEBA, and device trust models.
- Architect end-to-end observability using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, synthetic monitoring, and dependency mapping.
- Define service performance baselines, SLIs/SLOs, and proactive alerting for production web applications.
- Enable rapid incident diagnosis and root cause analysis through structured logging, tracing, and telemetry.
- Drive predictive monitoring and proactive remediation using AI-driven insights where applicable.
- Own security operations architecture, including Azure Sentinel (SIEM), SOAR playbooks, and coexistence or migration from legacy SIEM platforms such as Splunk.
- Ensure application and infrastructure patching, vulnerability remediation, and audit readiness aligned with HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Lead network and connectivity strategy including Meraki, SD-WAN, secure application access, and telephony integration.
- Manage cloud workloads and platform operations, including VM, App Services, and database administration, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Govern code repository strategy using GitHub and Azure Repos, enforcing standards for branching, versioning, and access control.
- Support M365 collaboration platforms, minimal telephony, and M365 Copilot security workflow alignment.
- Collaborate with application, clinical, and operational teams to ensure infrastructure and web architectures support healthcare workflows and member/provider experience priorities.

Domain Experience:
- Experience working with Healthcare Provider or Payer organizations.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, PHI, PII protection frameworks, access audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with clinical, claims, enrollment, eligibility, or member-facing web platforms (good to have).
Soft Skills
- Ability to define integrated infrastructure and web application architecture roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder management across application, security, compliance, and leadership teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
