Job Details

KeyLogic has a new opportunity, for a System Administrator III. This position can be Hybrid, based out of Bethesda, MD.

Position Summary:
The System Administrator III will supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Plan and monitor the optimization of system operation and resource utilization and perform systems capacity analysis and planning. Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, install, maintain, and upgrade Server Operation Systems in a physical and virtual environment following industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain OS installation and configuration SOPs.
  • Evaluate and recommend newer OS products and technologies.
  • Monitor OS performance and resource usage.
  • Administer servers using centralized management and configuration technologies.
  • Provide server support for OIIT projects.
  • Automate deployments, changes, and reports.
  • Plan, install, and maintain software-based firewalls.
  • Coordinate hardware-based firewall and other IT security settings.
  • Plan, install, and maintain encryption certificates.
  • Use network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Adhere to all applicable federal security standards.
  • Provide system integration support.
  • Support the design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all switches and load balancers.
  • Support, manage, troubleshoot, and upgrade enterprise virtual hypervisors.
  • Provide Active Directory (AD) administration.
  • Provide reporting on system availability and resource utilization.
  • Provide capacity planning reports.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • OR 7 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Public Trust Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Background Investigation

Required Certifications (any of the following):

Microsoft MSCE, Windows Server OS, IIS, PowerShell, System Center Operation Management.

  • Microsoft Azure Administration.
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate.
  • VMware Data Center Virtualization (DCV) Design or Deploy.
  • Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional (NCAP).
  • IBM BigFix Lifecycle Administration.
  • (ISC) Systems Security Certified Professional (SSCP).
  • CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional.
