We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IAM Consultant / Engineer to join a mission-driven AI- company focused on safety and research on a contract basis.


This role will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, integration, and support of Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of IAM technologies, security protocols, and cloud-based infrastructure, along with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.


Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and manage IAM solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and risk-based authentication systems
* Experience taking an environment from Active Directory to Entra
* Integrate IAM platforms with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premise infrastructure
* Develop and maintain secure authentication and authorization for REST APIs, SOAP services, and microservices
* Support identity federation and directory integrations (Active Directory, LDAP, virtual directories)
* Collaborate with application developers to embed IAM best practices into new and existing systems
* Automate provisioning, attestation, and other IAM-related tasks through scripting (Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash)
* Utilize industry protocols and standards such as SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed, and Kerberos
* Ensure compliance with security regulations and internal audit requirements
* Provide subject matter expertise across multiple IAM projects in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
* Monitor and troubleshoot IAM components within networked environments (LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN)



Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong understanding of the IAM space
* Experience with various 3rd party IAM solutions
* Proficiency in Active Directory, cloud integration, SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, and LDAP
* Hands-on experience with SSO and MFA processes

Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Certification in IAM-related technologies
* Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platforms
* Knowledge of industry best practices in IAM
