DB2 LUW/ DB2 UDB DBA
Franklin, WI / Milwaukee, WI - 5 days onsite.
115K - 120K (Relocation is allowed)
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide solutions and bridge the gap between technology and business, know-how to deliver any client solution.
Required Skills
- Provide all aspects operational support for the DB2-UDB database environment. Ability to support additional DB or BI technologies is preferred.
- Ability to write complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation. Automation - Shell/Perl Scripting ( Python will be add on )
- Strong hand zone experience on DB2 HA/TSAMP and partitioning.
- Good command on DB2 basic concepts.
- DevOps mindset and good to have at least basic Gitlab knowledge.
- Having Ansible, Docker knowledge will add weightage for sure.
- Highly skilled in DB2 LUW administration including (installation, patching/upgrade, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting).
- Monitors and refines processes, procedures, and systems to optimize operational stability and/or integrity and recommends and/or implements improvements.
- Ability to write complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation.
- Ability to maintain Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and provide support for BCP exercises and actual disaster recovery.
Other preferred skills:
- DBA experience in other DBMS technologies such as SQL Server/Sybase
- Experience in :Scrum, Agile, SAFe, Kanban
