Job Details
DataStaff, Inc. is in need of an IMS System Programmer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Dallas, TX.
*This position is on-site
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience working within an IMS Database environment.
- Familiarity with mainframe functional areas such as z/OS Operating System, Storage, Databases, CICS, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
- Experience in IMS V15.5 or Later upgrade with SMP/E
- Experience in ISV products includes, but is not limited to CA database tools, IBM database tools, Sysview, Omegamon, and Mainview.
- Experience in IMS Database Objects, Logical Unit definitions, and IMS Commands.
- Expert in IMS configuration like SYSGEN, PSBGEN, Subsystem configuration.
- Will serve as the primary technical contact for the mainframe Database for one or more clients during the transition.
- 12+ years of professional work experience as an IMS Mainframe System Programmer.
Technical key skills (Mandatory skills)
- Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products)
- Expertise in IMS V15.5 or later upgrade
- Mastery of IMS Database objects, PSB, ACB and SYSGEN process.
