Location: Columbus, OH or Dallas, TX || 4 Days Onsite, 8-5 PM CST; Remote Fridays ||

Duration: 5-6 Months

Job Description

We are hiring a Senior IT Business Analyst for the Business Management Office (BMO) within the Office of the CIO. The BMO partners with Technology and Finance to provide end to end visibility into Technology's business operations and spending.

This role will own and improve recurring operational and financial reporting, help scale and automate BMO processes, and gradually step into a team lead capacity. The analyst will work closely with Technology, Finance, and Accounts Payable to support expense management, budgeting, and executive reporting.

Most critical focus areas:

• Financial / expense analysis in Technology (within banking/financial services)

• Advanced reporting & visualization in Tableau and Power BI

• Strong stakeholder management & executive communication

• Lead business analysis activities for Technology, with a focus on expense management, budgeting, and operational reporting.

• Partner with Finance, Technology, and Accounts Payable to review new budget and spend requests and ensure alignment with existing financials.

• Provide guidance and best practices to senior stakeholders; demonstrate strong executive presence.

• Facilitate meetings, presentations, and status updates for senior management and Technology leaders; influence decisions without direct authority.

• Maintain and update budget items throughout the year; analyze drivers, changes, and impacts across the Technology portfolio.

• Support BMO leadership by mentoring junior team members and acting as lead when required.

• Query databases, validate data, and investigate reporting anomalies to ensure data quality and accuracy.

• Act as a key point of contact for the BMO, delivering excellent internal customer service while maintaining efficiency.

• Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment, helping to re prioritize based on risk and impact.

• Design and enhance business processes, reporting structures, and methodologies to increase scalability, automation, and repeatability.

• Translate detailed data into clear, concise insights and "so what" messages for Technology leadership.

• 8+ years of financial / data analysis experience within banking or financial services, preferably supporting Technology or IT.

• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau and Power BI for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.

• Solid understanding of expense management, budgeting, and operational KPIs in a Technology context.

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence team members and stakeholders.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex data to non technical audiences and extract key messages from large data sets.

• Strong critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail, with a focus on high quality, accurate deliverables.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ServiceNow and querying relational databases (e.g., SQL).
