Title: IT Communications Specialist - End User Support
Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Duration: 12+ Mos
Summary:
Our client's technology team powers the systems and experiences that keep our stores, salons, and corporate teams connected. We're looking for an IT Communications Specialist who will serve as the voice of the End User Support (EUS) team-creating, managing, and delivering clear, engaging communications that inform, educate, and empower our internal associates to make the most of our technology resources.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver communications: Craft and distribute IT announcements, technology updates, and service notifications in partnership with EUS leadership and technical teams.
- Establish a knowledge base: Build and maintain a consistent, user-friendly repository of end user articles, FAQs, and self-service guides in ServiceNow.
- Drive content integration: Consolidate and migrate existing documentation from Confluence, SharePoint, and other sources into a standardized ServiceNow knowledge management structure.
- Create an IT newsletter: Design and manage a recurring internal newsletter highlighting technology changes, training opportunities, success stories, and user tips.
- Ensure brand consistency: Align tone, formatting, and visual design of all IT communications with our brand and corporate communication standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with IT, Corporate Communications, HR, and Store Operations to ensure alignment and clarity across all messages impacting end users.
- Measure impact: Track engagement metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the clarity, reach, and effectiveness of end user communications.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field required.
- Recent college graduate to 2 years of professional experience in communications, content management, or a related field.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Confluence platforms.
- Strong writing, editing, and content design skills for digital and email formats.
- Ability to translate technical information into clear, audience-friendly messaging.
- Experience managing newsletters, intranet content, or knowledge bases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools; basic HTML or email marketing template experience a plus.
