Job Title: IT Engineer - Software Design (Senior Level)
Location: Westborough, MA
Duration: 12 months
Job Description:
- Cytiva is looking for a skilled and motivated Aveva OSISOFT PI System Administrator to assist within the project space for OEM product builds.
- The candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring PI Servers, interfaces, and points; monitoring the system for performance and errors; troubleshooting problems; and providing training and support to users. Documentation will be a key deliverable of this role and strong written English, organization, and communication skills are required.
- Experience working with Industrial Control Systems is a plus.
What you'll do
- Install, configure, and maintain the Aveva OSISOFT PI System infrastructure, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.
- Implement and enforce governance for the PI System within the OEM product.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the PI System architecture.
- Ensure system reliability and uptime by continuously monitoring system performance, proactively identifying areas for improvement, and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner.
- Establish test plans to determine compliance with functional and design requirements.
- Participate in the assembly, startup, integration, and testing of PI-based systems for customer projects.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to troubleshoot and support processes consistent with industrial control systems.
- Resolve technical questions and concerns through interaction with customers, vendors and internal personnel.
Who you are
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM major
- 10+ years' experience working with OSISOFT PI System.
- Basic knowledge of industrial communications and networking (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, OPC)
- Experience working in or providing support to an industrial environment
- Experience with or desire to learn about industrial automation platforms and controls
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of Aveva OSISOFT PI System architecture, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces.
- Knowledge with working in a VMWare environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
- Knowledge with industry cyber security standards (IEC 62433, ISA 99, NIST 800-53, etc.) implementation and governance
