Hands on, design solutions, VMware, Citrix, Windows, SAN, Linux team
Involved with major, critical incidents
Azure AD (Active Directory)
Dell for storage.
No cloud, on premises.
No direct reports
Citrix would be good, would consider Citrix Architect
Kubernetes and containers, will be working with that team
Just recently kicked off containers, deployed applications to container.
Client is focusing on three main areas of expertise for the Systems Architect:
SAN Storage
MS Windows
Virtualization

Work History
Candidates lacking knowledge, depth of experience
This is work ON-SITE Only - no remote, no hybrid option
Candidates are not really architects more engineers or administrators
Candidates need to have been doing architecting with large organizations
Ideal candidate will be expert level in VMware or Windows, with experience in the other.
VMware
o Experience with the following
vCenter
ESXi
DRS
vSAN
SRM
vRealize Orchestrator
Ability to troubleshoot issues regarding VMware (vCenter, ESXi logs, Guest OS...)
o Architecture
Cluster Design and sizing
vSAN Storage Policies
Storage configuration for FC, vSAN to include HBA's, devices, multipathing
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks that align with strategic business objectives while ensuring reliability and security.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless system and solution integration.
Create and present technology roadmaps to senior leadership, guiding long-term IT planning.
Produce comprehensive documentation outlining system architecture, security protocols, and scalability strategies.
Identify and lead technology innovation efforts, including concept prototyping and feasibility assessments.
Assess and recommend third-party solutions to ensure they align with architectural standards and business needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 5 years in enterprise architecture and technical leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale, high-impact technology initiatives within complex environments.
