This role is ONSITE, unless your traveling to client sites
HOURS: MON-FRI 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
We are looking for a hands-on, customer-focused IT Field Support Technician to work directly with end users during hardware and software refresh projects. This role is all about being onsite with employees, upgrading their technology, and making sure their new systems are ready to use with minimal disruption to their workday.
You ll travel to various locations, replace and set up computers and related equipment, install and configure software, and ensure users are comfortable with their updated tools. This is not a behind-the-scenes role, you ll be face-to-face with people, solving problems, and representing IT in a professional and friendly way.
DAILY TASKS:
Refresh and replacement projects for end-user devices, including imaging, configuration, and deployment.
Configure and deploy workstations, install corporate approved software, and manage networked printer setups.
Coordinate with end-users to schedule refreshes and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Manage IT asset lifecycle, inventory control and equipment assignment.
Document all incidents, tasks, resolutions, and procedures in the enterprise ticketing system.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of IT support experience in a client-facing role, installing/configuring and maintaining hardware, software, and peripheral devices
2+ years of IT Field Support Technician (End-User HW and SW) (Level II) experience in a corporate environment.
Must have hands-on, people-facing IT support for the hardware and software for company issued devices and applications.
Strong knowledge of workstation systems, operating systems (Windows) and Microsoft products (Microsoft Suite, Teams, and Outlook).
Experience using ServiceNow (or similar ticketing systems) to manage IT asset life-cycle, inventory control and equipment assignment.
Familiarity with mobile platforms (Apple iOS & Android).
Ability to perform complex troubleshooting on client software, hardware, and configurations.
Proficient in computer imaging and standardized deployment processes.
Ability to collaborate within a strong team environment and contribute to collective goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for assisting users both in person and remotely.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to travel to various offices on a daily basis, will travel between 1-4 hours to their various Midland offices.
Must have a valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
Ability to travel for remote site support and refresh projects
MUST be able to travel day or overnight travel for field offices for refresh deployments when required (Travel expenses will be reimbursed).
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to pass a drug screen
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience in enterprise-wide refresh projects or multi-site deployments.
Knowledge of IT asset management best practices.
Experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with PPE requirements and safety protocols in field settings.
