Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and manage iSeries systems within our client's organization. This role involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems, and driving initiatives to enhance system functionality and security. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to organizational growth by implementing innovative solutions and maintaining high-quality IT standards.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of iSeries Engineers, providing guidance and fostering detail-oriented development.
Address escalated technical challenges and ensure timely resolution of system incidents.
Design, plan, and coordinate activities related to the support and administration of iSeries systems.
Collaborate with other IT managers and teams to ensure effective incident management and communication.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring tasks are prioritized and completed efficiently.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain system security and operational quality.
Mentor and coach team members, conducting performance evaluations and managing recruitment processes.
Monitor system performance and provide regular reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Manage workload prioritization and delegate tasks based on shifting organizational needs.
Ensure compliance with established IT quality and security standards.
Requirements
Proficiency in Active Directory and system administration.
Experience with backup technologies and disaster recovery planning.
Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and network management.
Expertise in computer hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with configuration management tools and processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead technical teams.
Excellent communication skills to interact with executive staff and technical teams.
Proven track record of maintaining IT systems quality and security standards.
