IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

Summary

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the Code 75620 Advanced Capabilities Branch of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Duties

• You will serve as a senior level Project Manager ensuring timely execution of deliverables, and communicating execution challenges early to the Lead Engineer, PMO, and Division 756 Leadership.
• You will track personnel assigned to the Spend Plan; anticipates and adjusts for growth or cuts.
• You will manage lab resources, ensuring lab facilities can support planned development and testing.
• You will support advancements in automation and implementation to improve rapid reconfiguration and testing.
• You will continue the integration of Agile methodology into the work efforts of SSEE FoS engineering and the management of Agile planning and task execution.

• This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (IT Project Manager), proficiency level (Advanced) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

NO-06:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NO-05 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Independently lead the ongoing development, testing, deployment and fleet support of all Ships Systems Exploitation Equipment Family of Systems used in support of naval and joint operations.

NO-05:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band NO-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Under the guidance of the PMW120 Senior Project Manager, oversee the ongoing development, testing, deployment and fleet support of all Ships Systems Exploitation Equipment Family of Systems used in support of naval and joint operations.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
