IT Senior Software Developer
(Public Safety/Justice)
SALARY: ENTRY: $92,847.60-$154,859.10 Annually
This position is within the Information Technology Department and will be part of the team implementing the Court Case Management System (CCMS).
.This position collaborates with the vendor implementing the system to assess and review business, technical, and functional requirements; blend technical and business knowledge to bridge the gap between internal business and technical objectives; participate in discovery sessions, evaluation of business processes and systems; administering the overall scope of the work; and on defining problems and systems objectives; documentation of fact-finding analysis of results and preparation of findings, recommendations and specifications in formal reports and verbal presentations.
This job involves the following:
- Project management techniques and tools (Business Process Modeling (BPM) techniques, Use Cases, MS Project). Interfacing technology and operational professionals and document business process with a technology component.
- Interpreting customer business processes/needs and translating them into process documentation, workflows, and application requirements
- Assessing situations, receiving input from stakeholders and proposing viable solutions that will be translated into business and technical requirements.
- Creating data flow diagrams and infrastructure diagrams.
Preferences:
- Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle database development
- Visual Studio, .NET Framework
- Web Services, JSON, XML, experience with system integrations
- C#
- Azure DevOps
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI or other reporting tool
- Experience gathering and documenting user requirements
- Experience troubleshooting system issues, supporting and upgrading vendor systems
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s degree. Five years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
