Industrial Engineer - CNC
Industrial Engineer - CNC
Location: near O'Hare airport
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer with a strong background in CNC programming and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing systems, enhancing productivity, and ensuring quality control throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CNC programs using G Code and M Code for various manufacturing processes.
- Conduct process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production line.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to design and optimize manufacturing layouts and tooling.
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies to identify and mitigate quality issues in manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and engineering changes.
- Perform simulations and analyses using SolidWorks for 5-axis machining and other CNC operations.
- Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including GD&T specifications in AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
- Experience with various manufacturing techniques, including casting, dies, forging, and precision machining.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
