Informatica MDM Engineer / Lead

Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 12+ Months Experience Required: 10+ Years

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) Engineer to design, implement, and support a single, trusted view of enterprise master data (e.g., TFS Customer, Dealer). The role focuses on MDM hub configuration, data quality, integrations, and close collaboration with business and data governance teams to ensure high-quality, consistent master data across ERP, CRM, data warehouses, and other enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

MDM Architecture & Configuration

  • Design, configure, and maintain Informatica MDM hubs (On-Prem or IDMC / 360 / B360)

  • Define and manage data models, match & merge rules, survivorship logic, and workflows

  • Maintain a unified, trusted master data view across enterprise platforms

Integration & Data Engineering

  • Build and support integrations between MDM and source/target systems using:

    • Informatica PowerCenter or Cloud Data Integration (CDI)

    • REST / SOAP APIs and messaging frameworks

  • Support batch and near real-time integrations, including event-driven patterns (Kafka, Event Hub, pub/sub)

  • Apply Java / Spring Boot API integration where required

Data Quality & Governance

  • Implement data quality rules, profiling, cleansing, and monitoring

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data

  • Collaborate with data governance, architects, and business stakeholders to define master data domains, standards, and policies

  • Translate governance requirements into scalable technical solutions

Data Analysis & Migration

  • Perform source system analysis, data mapping, and transformation

  • Lead and support data migration into the MDM hub during onboarding and enhancement initiatives

Operations & Support

  • Troubleshoot MDM and integration issues and optimize performance

  • Provide ongoing operational support and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 5+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (On-Prem or IDMC / 360 / B360)

  • Strong experience with Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud Data Integration

  • Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and master data modeling

  • Working knowledge of Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and governance/metadata tools (CDQ, CD Collibra, or similar)

  • Strong understanding of ETL, batch, and real-time integration patterns

  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Event Hub, etc.)

  • Java / Spring Boot API integration experience
