If you're ready to change the way the world moves, join us at BlueOval Battery Park Michigan, a new state-of-the-art facility in Marshall, Michigan. You'll be a key part of the launch team that will help bring the electrification revolution to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere. BlueOval Battery Park Michigan will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development.

This new wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026.

This role will start remote and then will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI, with expectation to be on-Site at Marshall once offices are available (relocation package available).

You'll also...
  • Responsible for delivering architecture solutions for IT and OT cybersecurity, for risk management, and for compliance activities.
  • Working with teams, management, and stakeholders to conceptualize, design, build, test, and release systems in environments with complex IT and OT systems.
  • Assessing the architecture of technology domains such as Network, Identity and Access Management, Threat and Vulnerability Management, and Detection and Monitoring, for both IT and OT systems.
  • Documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and playbooks.
  • Creating relationships with team members and internal business customers and acting as an information security Subject Matter Expert (SME) for others to provide expert knowledge on an ongoing basis.
  • Identifying and reporting potential gaps in the environment that poses an overall risk to the organization.
  • Reviewing and approving rules for firewalls, VPNs, routers, IDS/IPS, and servers.
  • Participating in the security on-call rotation as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on information security, engineering, and reliability.
  • Deep technical knowledge of secure systems architecture principles, security and compliance tools, data protection, and access models.
  • Ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • 10+ years of Information Security Architecture experience.
  • Experience succeeding in high levels of complexity, exposure, to multiple business issues, ambiguity, and conflict.
  • Hands-on development, engineering, networking, cloud and/or other technical work experience.
  • Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, NIST-CSF series and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  • Experience with Microsoft, Palo Alto, and Cisco security technologies.

It is anticipated that within 30 days of your employment with Ford, you will become a secondee of BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. A secondee is an employee who will continue to be employed by Ford Motor Company but work at BlueOval Battery Michigan, Ford's wholly owned subsidiary. Afterwards it is anticipated that within 8 months of your employment with Ford, you will become an employee of the Ford's fully owned subsidiary of BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. The terms and conditions of your employment with the separate BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC company will be communicated to you in advance of your transition to that entity. You will remain an at-will employee at all times during your employment with Ford or any Ford affiliate or subsidiary with which you later become employed.
