Location: Must be local to the bay area; Hybrid role with 1-2 days a week in Oakland

We are seeking a Project Manager with strong experience in managing large complex projects in the area of infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have background managing deployments involving network technologies (such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points), transmission systems (including microwave, satellite, and fiber), telephony, storage, servers, and common telecom facilities (like generators, batteries, telecom buildings, and mobile radio systems). Familiarity with multiplexing and experience working in data center or field-based environments is essential.
While some exposure to application or telecom-related projects is a plus, the primary focus of this role is on infrastructure-related initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of large-scale telecom infrastructure projects across data centers and field facilities including the development of project proposals, planning, decision-making and project fiscal management. Supervision is exercised over professional, technical and administrative personnel.
Qualifications:
8+ years of project management experience managing large, complex infrastructure projects
Active PMP Certification
Experience managing directory services project, configuration management projects
Experience managing security related infrastructure and applications.
Extensive experience in developing and execution of IT governance, project methodologies, procedures and processes
Proven ability to build motivated, collaborative and productive cross-functional teams
Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally or in written form, with all levels of the organization, and able to influence a larger team to perform toward the same goal
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Highly analytical, and methodical, strong problem-solving ability on complex subjects
NERC CIP project experience is highly desirable
Professional Skills:
Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and building a team of professionals who can complete tasks on time within a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of technology, vendors, products, development and support alternatives
Proven business skills including financial analysis and budgeting
Demonstrated understanding of IT process and infrastructure/security related projects
