Job Details

Role: Snr QA Engineer - 100% hands on testing

Location: Iselin, NJ, Manhattan, NY, Hartford, CT, Stanford, CT - 3 days/wk - preference is NY/NJ

Contract - CTH - 12 months

IV Process: 1-2 stages - panel round

Tech stack: PNC experienced (insurance) - can you explain the policy lifecycle - underwriting heavy

5+ years within QA - manual QA

Good comms

  • Top 3 requirements:
  • Insurance knowledge (property & casualty) (3-4 years of insurance exp)
  • Worked as QA hands on (manual exp preferred / knowledge of automation). (5-7 years of QA experience)
  • Strong communication skills
  • They don t need devops or automation knowledge, she can teach them.
  • All I need is insurance knowledge and hands on QA experience.

  • Notes: (Team, environment, additional insight on role, tech stack, etc)
  • Insurance industry experience is key.
  • They need boots on the ground in the tri-state to work with the business and be a bridge between HM and the teams in the tri-state.
  • They need someone to communicate issues, enhancements, etc. Someone who can convince the business that this is not part of the requirement.
  • She needs someone who can show what has been covered as a requirement and what hasn t been covered as a requirement. Get QA standards appropriately, do the quality checks, etc.
  • Need someone vocal.
  • They will be working with underwriting.
  • 100% hands on testing.
  • As a QA, if something isn t working they should be able to troubleshoot. So have experience with troubleshooting skills is nice to have but not required.
  • Their biggest issue is around P&C experience they ask can you explain policy lifecycle and then they can t answer it. They want the person who can come in and hit the ground running.
