ECS is seeking an Integration Lead / Manager to work in our Arlington, VA office . Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. The CDM Data Services product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet DHS requirements.

The successful Integration Lead candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers focused on developing designs and integration solutions across the Data Services components. Integrations include custom code, COTS configurations, performance tuning, and optimization across enterprise applications. A deep understanding of cloud deployments, native services, and serverless deployment options is a must.

Integrations are needed to enable the interaction of components for the purpose of sharing data, status, and other updates using APIs, custom scripting processes, and other ETL tools. The successful candidate will provide hands-on configuration and tuning of application-level components and be capable of producing data models sufficient to store data in a secure, efficient, and in a manner that enables all functionality.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of programming best practices, experience with common programming interfaces, and a proven ability to provide technical thought leadership in a large, distributed, government ecosystem.

Required Skills:
  • At least 8 years' experience managing a team of engineers providing design, development, and support of similar size, scope, and complexity solutions.
  • At least 4 years' experience developing custom and configurable integrations across a distributed ecosystem using standard REST API interfaces or custom developed solutions.
  • At least 6 years' experience with software development concepts, best practices, and application delivery
  • At least 4 years' experience with programming/scripting languages that include Python, Java, HTML, CSS, and markdown.
  • At least 4 years' experience designing solutions for the cloud, leveraging native services and other cloud offerings to improve performance, reduce overhead, and manage costs.
  • At least 2 years' experience with data modeling, data modeling best practices and concepts in both relational and non-relational data stores.
  • At least 4 years' experience developing containerized solutions and managing container orchestration platforms.


Desired Skills:
  • Experience producing technical documentation to communicate system designs and technological analysis.
  • Experience coordinating work in an Agile Environment, esp. using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience with ALM tools (i.e. Jira, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with tools in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Familiarity with the .gov Cyber Mission space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (e.g., SecOps, FISMA, FIPS, etc.)
  • Relevant certifications, training, and education.
