Job Description:

The purpose of the Integration and Test engineer position is to synthesize and define test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems. Coordinate assembly level through system level integration and test activities and ensure that technical obligations are fulfilled.Intern with broad theoretical konwledge. Works under the direction and guidance of team leads within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Works to achieve operaitons targets that impact team results.

Essential Functions:

Perform integration and test engineering tasks for to create or maintain test processes

Support the development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, test reports, test flow, and test case design and implementation

Execute system, sub-system, CCA and component level functional testing and document results

Use critical thinkng to perform hardware troubleshooting down to component level

Setup, configure, and document hardware/software systems under test, including loading software onto multiple devices to perform verification and validation

Follows processes in conformance with established policies and objectives

Provides input to various Engineering disciplines to support product Lifecycle management

Support Operations manufacturing in failure trend analysis and ensure failure trends are quickly and effectively identified and resolved

Qualifications:

Studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Ability to work 100% onsite

Preferred Additional Skills:

Technical Software Used: IBM Rational DOORS, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian, Confluence

Software used: Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint, Outlook E-mail

Test Hardware: DC Power Supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Noise Figure Analyzer, Scaler Analyzer, Fiber Optic Scope Meter

Understanding of systems engineering concepts

Knowledge of Electro-Optical Imaging testing including optical Signal to Noise Ratio, MTF, MRTD, boresight alignment, optical distortion, relative illumination, ELRF testing and alignments, video format compliance. General knowledge of multi-spectral cameras such as visible, SWIR, MWIR

Knowledge of Broadband RF/Microwave and Antenna testing for injected and radiated tests including S-Parameters, Noise Figure, Compression

Knowledge of communications systems, software languages, automated software

Desired skills include requirements analysis and verification, software scripting and usage of automated testing frameworks and applications

Project and team leadership experience

Presentation and communication skills (Verbal/written/visual)

Problem solving skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines

Ability to productively contribute work, ideas, and collaboration as part of a team

The use of safety equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas

Must be able to sit or stand for up to nine hours

Fine motor dexterity

Hand-eye coordination

Concentrated mental/visual demand

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $25.00 - $47.50. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $22.00 - $40.50. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
