Job Details

Role: Intranet SharePoint Designer/Developer/ Architect

Location: St paul/ MN Remote from USA

Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing content and provide recommendations for enhancements to information architecture, organization, and navigation as pertains to a move to SharePoint.
  • Gather requirements for a move to SharePoint through meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Create a new intranet graphic design and create page templates in a SharePoint Communication site.
  • Create a migration plan for the new site, ensuring proper formatting and organization.
  • Recommend proper permissions and create those that are approved.
  • Create new SharePoint site using accessible templates and design.
  • Migrate existing content to the new SharePoint site as applicable, per approved migration plan.
  • Assist in site launch planning and integration with existing SharePoint sites.
  • Provide guidance and planning for change management and user adoption.
  • Provide technical training during hand-off of completed site.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to State staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing/completing projects involving any or all of the following:
    • SharePoint development, including site design, customization, and administration.
    • Definition and implementation of SharePoint architecture and features utilizing best practices.
    • Planning and execution of content strategy or information architecture.
    • Migration of an intranet site from another system into SharePoint.
    • Definition and enablement of SharePoint permissions, workflows, data retention, and governance.
    • Integration of Microsoft 365 with SharePoint.
    • Analysis and interpretation of user requirements and development of solutions based on those requirements.
    • Graphic design.
    • Creation of accessible SharePoint templates per WCAG 2.1 and Section 508.
    • Guidance and planning for change management and user adoption.
    • Technical training during hand-off of completed SharePoint site(s).
