Position: Intune Packager for Windows Apps
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote or Hybrid in New York (must work EST time zone)
Hours: 9:30 AM 5:30 PM EST, 35 hours/week

Role Overview
We re looking for an Intune Packager to focus on Windows application packaging, scripting, and deployment via Microsoft Intune. This is a contract role for 6 months, working in a mature endpoint management environment. The person in this role will build Intune packages, write scripts to automate packaging and deployment tasks, and support application software rollouts in Windows.
What You ll Actually Do Day-to-Day
Here s what this person will really be doing, not just what it sounds like on paper:
- Create Intune application packages for Windows apps: setting up the installers, wrapping them as needed, configuring them for Intune deployment.
- Write scripts (PowerShell and other general scripting) to automate repetitive packaging or installation tasks.
- Test the packaged apps: ensure they install properly via Intune on test Windows endpoints, handle upgrades, uninstalls, versioning.
- Troubleshoot packaging issues: e.g. dependencies, install failures, conflicts with existing software or permissions.
- Manage version control, maintain a library of packaged apps.
- Coordinate with IT / endpoint management teams to ensure that the packaging meets organizational standards (security, compatibility).
- Possibly do documentation, packaging SOPs, deploy packages to pilot groups before wider rollout.
Skills & Experience Required
- Solid experience using Microsoft Intune for application deployment / packaging.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
- General scripting knowledge (batch scripts, other scripting tools) for installers or packaging.
- Experience creating Windows application installer packages (e.g. MSI, EXE, possibly wrapped).
- Experience with Intune packaging: setting requirements, detection methods, dependencies, etc.
- Ability to test, troubleshoot and validate installs in Windows environments.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with software deployment best practices (versioning, rollback, patching).
- Experience with automation tools, CI/CD for packaging workflows.
- Prior work in enterprise or large-scale Intune/SCCM/Endpoint Management environments.
- Additional scripting languages (e.g. Python, or other) or familiarity with packaging tools.
