Job Title: Java Angular Developer

Job Location: Oakland, CA | Onsite

Description:

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking a highly experienced Java Angular Developer with strong expertise in full-stack development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise applications as part of a major digital transformation program. This role requires a skilled developer with deep technical expertise, hands-on coding ability, and a proven track record of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. You will build modern, modular applications using Java backend services, Angular frontends, and cloud-native technologies while working alongside distributed teams across onsite and offshore locations. Ideal for a mid-to-senior level technologist with solid banking industry experience and a passion for building robust enterprise solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Full-Stack Development: Design and develop scalable front-end and back-end systems using Java, Angular, and REST APIs within enterprise application environments.
  • Backend Architecture: Build and maintain Java-based applications with Spring/Spring Boot, ensuring robust database connectivity and performance optimization with SQL Server.
  • Frontend Development: Create responsive, dynamic modern web applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with emphasis on user experience and accessibility.
  • Database Management: Design and manage SQL Server databases, including creating tables, writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application requirements.
  • API Integration: Integrate with internal and third-party APIs, ensuring secure implementation of RESTful web services and proper API consumption patterns.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain comprehensive automated unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, and performance tests to ensure application reliability.
  • Platform Deployment: Deploy and maintain Java applications in JBoss environments, ensuring stability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Code Quality & Standards: Apply secure coding standards and practices, follow modular design principles, and contribute to a scalable and resilient platform architecture.
  • Business Requirements: Work closely with business stakeholders and users to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and training materials for application users and development teams.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work effectively in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Multi-Project Management: Balance responsibilities across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining code quality and delivery timelines.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of development experience in Java/JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Angular, and responsive, dynamic modern web application development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Java/J2EE application development
  • Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Angular (current versions)
  • REST Services and API development
  • SQL Server database design and management
  • JBoss application server deployment

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Salesforce platform experience or integration knowledge.
  • Experience with cloud deployment technologies and platforms.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
