Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Full stack Engineer with a strong emphasis on backend development using Java and Spring. The primary focus will be on building and enhancing the new AMIS integration layer (Azure Manhattan Integration Service, formerly WMSi), which is critical to the success of the Orion project (Manhattan TMS, WMS, LMS solution). This integration layer enables the Company's systems to communicate with Manhattan and requires a strong Java developer with additional Azure Tool Chain responsibilities.

In addition to AMIS, there will be opportunities to support whKonnect as it continues to roll out to the Company's divisions. While backend work will be the main focus, the contractor may occasionally contribute to frontend development (Angular) for internal tools and claims applications.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Framework.
  • Experience with cloud services (preferably Azure) and integration patterns.
  • Working knowledge of Angular (v10+ preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with supply chain or logistics systems, especially warehouse management systems.
  • Exposure to claims processing workflows in warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with the Company's internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring for the AMIS integration layer.
  • Ensure successful integration with Manhattan systems (TMS, WMS, LMS).
  • Support and enhance existing software, adapting and optimizing warehouse domain needs.
  • Contribute to frontend development in Angular for internal tools as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain developers, infrastructure engineers, and QA.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability across services.
