Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Spark
- Work with Spark ecosystem components including Datasets, Spark SQL, and performance tuning for large-scale data processing
- Collaborate with business analysts and lead engineers to translate requirements into robust software solutions
- Support production systems and troubleshoot Spark-based applications
- Participate in engineering communities of practice and contribute to a culture of innovation, inclusion, and respect
Must-Have Skills
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Solid background in data engineering and ETL pipelines
- Practical experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Kubernetes and container orchestration
- CI/CD pipeline experience
- Familiarity with Python for data tasks
- AWS Certification is a plus
