Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager based in California (preferably Bay Area) to expand our presence in the Storage and Cloud Native engineering space. This role is focused on identifying new client opportunities, building outsourcing and GCC partnerships, and securing new engineering services and solution projects from US-based Storage and Infrastructure product companies.
This person will act as the face of Mindteck to Storage OEMs, ISVs, and hyperscalers, particularly in the vibrant Silicon Valley ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic business growth in the Storage Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure domain, targeting both new and existing clients.
- Identify and pursue outsourcing and GCC creation opportunities with Storage-focused tech companies.
- Open doors with CTOs, Engineering VPs, Product Heads, and Procurement teams
- leveraging our strong delivery track record and certified talent pool.
- Own the full business development cycle: prospecting, qualifying, proposal management, contract negotiation, and closure.
- Represent company at Bay Area meetups, technology forums, and partner events, building visibility and strengthening alliances.
- Collaborate closely with pre-sales and delivery teams to shape custom engineering proposals aligned to client needs.
- Track emerging trends in cloud-native storage (K8s, CSI, NVMe/TCP, S3, Object Storage) and align solution offerings accordingly.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in business development/sales within the Storage, Cloud Infrastructure, or Engineering Services industry.
- Proven track record of closing high-value services deals or outsourcing engagements with product engineering companies.
- Deep understanding of SAN, NAS, NVMe, Backup/DR, Tiered Storage, and Cloud-Native architectures.
- Experience in GCC model selling, including capability builds, captive transitions, and BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) models.
- Strong network within the California tech ecosystem, especially in Silicon Valley.
- Ability to lead C-level conversations and present business value to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with offshore teams in a global delivery model.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic selling skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science; MBA preferred.\
- Familiarity with DevOps, microservices, Kubernetes, and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
