Job Title: Jr. Oracle DBA
Work Location: Remote with occasional travel to client locations in SE USA
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Responsibilities:
- Support multiple Oracle databases across multiple facilities.
- Work with Service Desk to fulfill requests for access and other routine changes.
- Work and escalate as necessary, incident tickets related to outages, performance.
- Assist in administering assigned databases assist with backup and recovery operations, database patching, and upgrades.
- Work closely with developers to diagnose causes and solutions to mission application errors and issues.
- Partner with systems and network administrators and other DBAs/application administrators to actively monitor and improve system performance; troubleshoot/solve database issues encountered by new and existing applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving a variety of problems and issues.
Qualifications:
- Required education: 4 years or equivalent work experience
- Required experience: 1-3 years (over and above work exp)
- Preferred certification: Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate or similar
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of relational database management software.
- Knowledge of server operating systems.
- Knowledge of general networking environments.
- Must be flexible, well-organized, and team-oriented.
