Job Description:
A Junior QA Engineer is primarily responsible for assisting in the testing process to ensure software applications meet quality standards and function as expected. He/she will participate in test planning, execution, documentation, and reporting, while collaborating with developers and business teams to identify and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Execute manual test cases and assist in test automation efforts under guidance.

  • Identify, document, and track bugs, errors, or inconsistencies in applications.

  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve defects.

  • Participate in regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Ensure software applications meet defined quality and performance standards.

  • Assist in preparing test data, maintaining test environments, and reporting test results.

  • Stay updated with QA tools, techniques, and best practices to improve efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Basic understanding of SDLC and software testing methodologies.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and work in a team environment.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems is a plus.

  • Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, etc.) is desirable but not mandatory.
