Junior Quality Assurance Engineer
6-12 Months contract to start
Pay rate-$40/hour on W2

Summary:
As a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer, you ll contribute to ensuring each product release meets high quality standards and customer expectations.
Our products run on Linux and Windows and are deployed across diverse environments from bare metal to cloud SaaS. You ll work in a fast-paced, agile environment where your contributions will make an impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the delivery of high-quality software releases that meet performance and stability goals.
Test both Windows desktop applications and web-based applications on Windows and Linux platforms.
Represent the customer perspective throughout the development lifecycle.
Execute test plans that include both manual and automated test cases.
Write and maintain automated tests using scripting languages or test frameworks.
Monitor and support the CI/CD pipeline to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
Log and track bugs using tools like Atlassian Jira and participate in bug triage discussions.
Collaborate with team members to continuously improve testing strategies and processes.
Learn and grow your skills in QA methodologies, automation, and tools.

Basic Qualifications:
0 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
Familiarity with Agile development practices and working in cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience writing or maintaining automated tests (e.g., using Python, Bash, or similar).
Understanding of software testing phases (Functional, Regression, Integration, etc.).
Exposure to testing web and/or desktop applications.
Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP).
Experience with tools such as Jira, Xray, Bitbucket, or similar.
Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins).
Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
Interest in learning about network performance and distributed systems.
