Position: Service Support Analyst Junior (Endpoint MDM Deployment Contractor)
Location: 3205 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208
Type: Onsite / In-Person Only

About the Role:
Mecklenburg County IT Services (ITS) is seeking a skilled Endpoint MDM Deployment Contractor to support our Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) team. This role plays a key part in the County s Evergreen Refresh initiative, ensuring secure and efficient deployment of mobile devices to County end users. The contractor will also serve as the first line of support for County-issued mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and set up mobile devices in alignment with the County s Evergreen Refresh program.

  • Coordinate deployments of mobile devices, including scheduling, logistics, and user handoff.

  • Receive, process, and track old devices for secure e-cycling and disposal according to County policy.

  • Provide first-level support for break/fix issues, troubleshooting, and inquiries related to County-issued mobile devices.

  • Collaborate with the UEM team to ensure seamless device transitions with minimal disruption to County operations.

  • Maintain accurate deployment, inventory, and support documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with County IT security standards and best practices during all deployment and support activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with mobile device deployment and configuration, including iOS platforms (3+ years).

  • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Microsoft Intune, AirWatch, or similar (3+ years).

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills to provide effective end-user support (3+ years).

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage device scheduling, tracking, and handoffs (3+ years).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while delivering excellent customer service (3+ years).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to IT security practices (3+ years).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with large-scale device deployment projects.

  • Knowledge of County or government IT operations, policies, and security standards.

  • Familiarity with device lifecycle management and e-cycling processes.
