Job Details

Must-Have:

  • Deep expertise in Apache Kafka architecture, design, and deployment of enterprise-grade streaming platforms

  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems, messaging frameworks, and real-time data pipelines

  • Experience with Confluent Platform or Confluent Cloud

  • Proven ability to design and manage Kafka components (producers, consumers, schema registry, stream processing Kafka Streams, Flink, Spark)

  • Hands-on experience ensuring scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance of Kafka clusters (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid)

  • Knowledge of governance, monitoring, and security models for Kafka

  • Experience with enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop)

  • Prior experience migrating from legacy messaging systems (IBM MQ, TIBCO, etc.) to Kafka

  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

Good-to-Have:

  • Certification in Kafka, Confluent, or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform)

  • Domain experience in financial services, banking, or credit-union environments

  • Exposure to Salesforce technical development or enterprise application architecture


Responsibilities

  • Define enterprise-wide Kafka architecture, design principles, and best practices

  • Lead design and deployment of high-throughput, low-latency Kafka streaming platforms

  • Architect and manage real-time data pipelines with producers, consumers, and stream processing frameworks

  • Establish governance, monitoring, and security strategies for Kafka clusters

  • Collaborate with application teams to modernize architectures into event-driven microservices solutions

  • Partner with enterprise architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to align Kafka solutions with business objectives

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and DevOps teams

  • Support strategic adoption of Kafka and event-driven architecture across the enterprise
