They are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and scaling of our cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Own infrastructure scalability, automation, monitoring, and cost optimization strategies.
- Implement secure, reliable, and compliant systems for healthcare data (HIPAA, HITRUST).
- Build CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling to accelerate engineering productivity.
- Oversee cloud networking, storage, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
- Partner with data engineering and AI/ML teams to optimize cloud environments for large-scale data processing and model deployment.
- Mentor and guide cloud/infrastructure engineers, setting technical standards and best practices.
- Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and evaluate their potential impact on our platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud-native services.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, etc.).
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong background in CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of security best practices for cloud and healthcare data compliance.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, distributed systems, or ML/AI deployment is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to thrive in a start-up environment.
