Job Description:
Our Healthcare client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to drive enterprise-level data science initiatives and deliver actionable insights that directly impact healthcare operations, patient care, and revenue cycle optimization. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in data science methodologies, leadership experience, and the ability to translate complex data into business strategy for senior executives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related STEM field required

    • Master s Degree in Data Science preferred

  • Experience:

    • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science

    • Experience in healthcare, hospital settings, medical informatics, EHR (Epic/Cogito strongly preferred), or healthcare IT/finance data management

    • Proven project lead experience managing multiple initiatives and mentoring data science teams

    • Strong expertise in building and optimizing large-scale datasets, pipelines, and models

    • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (AWS Certification required)

  • Technical Skills:

    • Deep knowledge of advanced data science techniques (clustering, forecasting, regression, A/B testing, neural networks, etc.)

    • Proficient in SQL, Python, R, or equivalent languages

    • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning

    • Experience with data visualization and storytelling for business leaders (executive-level presentations a must)

    • Advanced knowledge of data architecture, pipeline optimization, and large dataset management

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong communication skills to present findings to C-level executives and business stakeholders

    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and troubleshooting capabilities

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with minimal supervision

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level data science projects impacting organizational strategy and patient care outcomes

  • Develop and deploy predictive models, algorithms, and advanced analytics solutions

  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to data scientists and cross-functional teams

  • Partner with executives and business leaders to translate insights into actionable strategies

  • Build, optimize, and maintain large-scale datasets, ensuring data integrity and scalability

  • Drive adoption of data science best practices and evaluate emerging tools and vendors

  • Present data-driven findings and recommendations to executive leadership

  • Champion innovation in healthcare analytics, leveraging Cogito and AWS cloud solutions
