About the Role

Our booking team leads all aspects of the core in-app experience of booking an Uber, globally! We help riders navigate Uber's marketplace and get from A to B by innovating to create simple and delightful shopping experiences which are flexible to a broad range of use cases, user needs, geographies and product types. Expect to work on greenfield initiatives, developing and scaling innovative ways for booking which unlock long-term platform growth and use case adoption among our user base.

What the Candidate Will Do

Develop a vision and roadmap for how we will evolve our core booking experience to deeply serve high frequency transportation use cases, while working across functions and teams to incorporate feedback, build momentum and make this vision a reality. Expect to navigate complexity across teams including:
  • User Experience: fully own the roadmap in partnership with your eng, design and science partners to deliver better contextual booking experiences for hundreds of millions of people globally.
  • Pricing, Incentives and Matching: partner with other teams that are deep experts in these domains to align on strategy, stage gates and support over time as your investments scale.
  • Mobility Verticals: partner with teams building deep solutions for specific use cases and help connect them to our core app experience in a way that is seamless and solves for user needs while unlocking vertical growth.
  • Operations: develop partnerships with regional P&L leaders to learn about local needs, roll out experience changes and pilot new booking innovations, ensuring that we are deeply understanding regional nuances, aligning budgets where needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar
  • 6+ years of experience working as a consumer based Product Manager in a highly complex environment with 0 to 1 leadership experience.
  • Strong proficiency working with data and and ability to build momentum around sophisticated and ambiguous projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nice to have some prior experience in economics, finance, private equity, or management consulting.
  • Exceptionally high EQ and high energy leader with an ability to develop an entrepreneurial vision, generate buy-in, and turn that vision into reality!
  • Detail oriented and willing to roll up your sleeves - you know how to gain leverage from others but also won't hesitate to make your own decks, run your own queries and analyses, and move fast to unblock yourself.
  • GM Qualities: drive a consumer vision, align technical teams, work through details and nuances to complete a complex roadmap, develop sound business strategy and treat your product like a P&L that you own.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$203,000 per year - USD$225,500 per year.
