Within DE&E Technology, the Ad Platforms team is responsible for creating and scaling innovative global advertising solutions by building mission-critical tools and workflows to support addressable & linear ad sales, traffic, marketing and parts of broadcast operations. Job Summary:

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be assume a pivotal leadership role within our team shaping the future of our Salesforce platform. You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of our Salesforce projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our user base. You will spearhead the implementation of cutting edge Salesforce technologies, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.

The candidate must be fluent in Apex, SOQL, SOSL, and JavaScript. The right person should also blend their engineering abilities with strong communication skills to work with stakeholders and translate complex business requirements into performant and scalable Salesforce features.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce engineers, provide technical guidance and coaching
  • Lead the design and development of high-quality solutions on the Salesforce platform showcasing advanced proficiency in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, RESTful services, LWCs, and Aura
  • Define and implement Salesforce architecture and development strategies that align with business objectives
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate user requirements into functional and scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Champion best practices for Salesforce development, ensuring adherence to quality standards and coding guidelines
  • Stay abreast of the latest Salesforce trends and technologies, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of innovation
  • Conduct technical reviews, provide guidance on technical debt reduction, and oversee the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Salesforce issues, ensuring system stability and performance
  • Document technical decisions and maintain comprehensible documentation for future reference

YOU MUST...
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or another technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Have 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Have in-depth understanding of Salesforce data modeling and metadata
  • Have Salesforce Developer Certifications
  • Have deep expertise with Lightning Flows, Apex Triggers, and SOQL/SOSL, RESTful APIs
  • Have deep expertise with Salesforce testing tools as well as a wide breadth of experience with development tools such as Salesforce CLI, Workbench, and Git
  • Have a breadth of experience integrating Salesforce with external services
  • Have hands on DevOps experience with tools such as Copado
  • Have expertise in cloud-based computing principles and practices
  • Have a track record of championing quality engineering: be adamant that all code is written in a way that can be tested with unit tests
  • Have experience working with high-performing teams using Agile and Lean methodologies and frameworks
  • Care about your craft and have opinions about the right way to do things with technology

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS
  • Have Salesforce Platform Developer I and II Certifications and Marketing Cloud Consultant or other Marketing Cloud Certifications
  • Have in-depth understanding of Marketing Cloud concepts, including data management, audience segmentation, journey orchestration, email marketing, and mobile marketing
  • Have hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Content Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Advertising Studio
  • Have expertise in Lightning Web Components, the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and Aura
  • Previous work experience in Ad Sales
  • Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high quality results
  • Strong curiosity about how Disney delivers the Magic and a desire to be a part of it

BONUS EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILLS
  • Have expertise in Java/Python, SQL Databases and AWS/Azure
  • Experience with Web development (React, Angular etc.)

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles is $149,300 - $200,200 per year and in San Francisco is $163,500 - $219,200 per year and in Seattle is $156,300- $209,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
