Position Title: Lead Web Developer
Position Location: One Moody Plaza, Galveston, TX 77550
Salary range: $156,642.91 - $175,300/yr
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary of Duties:
Understand our business requirements and relate these to the supporting system requirements, producing simple technical specifications for the work to be done; Code readable, reliable and maintainable programs in any of a variety of languages and tools(IBM BPM/BAW, ODM, Java, J2EE, Angular, NodeJS, Enterprise Java Beans, Servlets, Java Persistence API, JavaScript, SQL/PL SQL) on multiple platforms necessary to support the team's assigned systems; Review test results with the business and make the necessary adjustments to the deliverable; Follow and enforce coding standards and guidelines, and review the team members' work; Respond promptly to production issues by serving on an on-call rotation for the 24-hour support of the team's systems; Prepare the initial problem definition, define the project scope and objectives, determine specific requirements to be satisfied, design system solutions for all levels of service requests, apply cybersecurity guidelines/principles, and employ secure coding practices; Provide analytical support for the on-going maintenance of developed systems; Set the coding standards, best practices, and architectural direction, review work completed by team members, manage the budget and project schedule, and communicate directly with business users.
Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or closely related field
Experience requirements: 5 years of experience in a web-based software development environment occupation performing the following duties.
Special Skills or Other Requirements:
Must have experience with each of the following:
Creating and managing Automate workflows across enterprise using IBM BAW/BPM. Verifying and creating complex views, queries and stored procedures with SQL Server databases. Engaging on Object Oriented Analysis and Design concepts and implementation. Assessing software security risks and remediations, implementing owasp recommendations, application performance, and code-reuse. Participating in full product life cycle including requirements gathering, prototyping, testing, QA and deployment. Creating Integration services in BPM to communicate with the external system. Customizing User Interface and building reusable components for workflow implementation.
Telecommuting is permitted but must be residing within Galveston County.
