Job Title : Senior Java Backend Developer with Kafka,
Location: Santa Clara, CA or Lewisville, TX

Position Summary

We are seeking two experienced Senior Java Backend Developers with strong Kafka and microservices expertise to support a key client in the Banking and Finance sector. The ideal candidates will have over a decade of Java experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality backend solutions in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java (17) and Spring Boot
  • Implement event-driven systems using Kafka
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Develop and maintain APIs and services adhering to best practices in security and scalability
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team planning and delivery
  • Write unit tests using JUnit and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with relational databases and tools like Elastic Search
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Java (10+ years) and Spring Boot (10+ years)
  • Solid experience with Microservices Architecture (10+ years)
  • Kafka Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience
  • Experience with Spring Security (6+ years)
  • Working knowledge of API development, RESTful services, and API gateways
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred)
  • Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD
  • Proficient in using Elastic Search, Relational Databases (RDBMS), JUnit
  • Security-conscious development mindset
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Full professional proficiency)
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
