Lilly has initiated Digital Quality Control Lab of future that will simplify, digitalize our QC Labs by advancing our Digital Execution strategy. This is part of a broader set of enterprise-wide programs focused on enabling unprecedented company growth and delivery of new modalities serving patients around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

Your primary role as Global M&Q Sr. Director, Tech at Lilly by leading Next Generation Labs, Lab of the future (LoF), Data Integrity, equipment Product marketplace and in addition sustaining our current QC labs IT operations. In addition, enable digital execution (Tulip frontline Operations platform) across all our new and existing facilities. In this role, you will provide leadership, co-lead the Lab of the future agenda, governance for QC labs space across Manufacturing and Quality (MQ), leading digital transformation and Data Integrity initiatives in advancing our vision for Lab of the future.You will partner with your peer leaders, Quality leadership, Lab council leaders, Manufacturing and Quality Data domain leaders in delivering the MQ digital transformation programs in Quality Control and Analytical technologies. You will have a leadership role in coaching, development of resources, and staffing a global group.

• Be Engaging- We need a leader who will engage a broad and diverse team focused on re-imagining Quality and Manufacturing processes using cutting edge Lab automation solutions, bring new capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence in QC labs, cutting edge next generation Digital lab platforms and ecosystems using modern apps, technologies, and tech stack.
• Must have a strong understanding of corporate computer system validation requirements according to Lilly Quality Standards, providing technical guidance to the global and site teams ensuring quality of operations and deliverables.
• Must have a combination of technical and soft skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement with Quality, analytical technologies and TSMS leadership.
• Must communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, influence decision making at all leadership levels, adept at networking and building strong professional relationships.
• Proactively monitor and stay abreast of evolving business and technology trends, in the realm of Digital labs, Quality Control Strategies. Continuously seek out innovative approaches to enhance our processes and advance out Tech framework.
• Experience with cGMP regulations, Data Integrity requirements in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of Lab operations business processes, application of AI in Digital labs, i.e advancing use cases in analytical methods improvement, Technology Transfer process, Computer System Validation.
• Leverage an agile mindset and framework for the entire product lifecycle.
• Coach and mentor team members on best practices and standards.

What You Should Bring

• Experience with Quality Digital lab processes, Lab Data Integration, Lab technology Standardization, Quality lab automation.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing and laboratory Practices with demonstrated experience incomputer system validations efforts.
• Understanding of eRelease, Sample Management and tracking, method development and standardization, integrated automation technologies etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
• Experience working with modern technology stack including cloud-based solutions, Artificial Intelligence.

Additional Experience in the following would be preferred but not required:

• Labvantage LIMS and LES, MODA, NuGenesis, EMPOWER, BINOCS,IoT edge, Tulip Frontline Operations in Manufacturing and Quality
• Lab automation systems, Instrument integrations, Using APIs for effective integrations and automation development, and/or support.

Your Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technical field.
• With a minimum of 7+ years in IT leadership roles, Quality and Manufacturing strategies driving strategic initiatives and fostering team growth.
• Must have relevant leadership experience leading, delivering and/or supporting enterprise IT platforms within a highly regulated industry

Additional Preferences

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related technical field.
• Excel in negotiation, driving consensus across complex stakeholder groups to achieve desired business outcomes. Combine assertiveness with effective change management.
• Passion for working on a team from diverse backgrounds and geographies.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working, Product framework
