MES Developer (Progress OpenEdge)

Description
The role is to support the Progress manufacturing execution system (MES) used by our client.
The main responsibilities include:
- Basic understanding of networking, IPs, VPNs
- Ability to write simple queries to extract data, optimize processes, and troubleshoot issues
- Willingness to be on-site, initially for a week to understand the processes, and then 3-4 days per week going forward
- Potential need to visit manufacturing facilities to provide support
- The role requires experience with Progress OpenEdge software, which is used for barcode printing, data intake, and integration with other systems.
Preferred skills:
- MES ability
- Progress exposure
- SQL/Windows scripting
- Some networking/VPN knowledge.
The company is open to training a candidate with the right skills, even if they don't have the full 5+ years of Progress OpenEdge experience required.
