This role will play a key part in rewriting and enhancing our existing MRF processes as we transition from Version 1.0 (implemented July 2023) to Version 2.0 (go-live October 2025, production deadline February 2026).

The ideal candidate is a senior-level engineer with deep experience in Python, Java, and healthcare/claims data processing. You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, scalability, and timely delivery of mandated updates.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain MRF (Machine Readable File) processing pipelines aligned with CMS cost transparency requirements.
  • Lead the rewrite of current processes in preparation for CMS 2.0 mandate.
  • Collaborate with claims and healthcare data teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
  • Implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and security remediation for Java/Spring Boot applications.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams on deployments across AWS, Kubernetes, or OpenShift environments.
  • Ensure high code quality through unit testing (Swagger, Postman, Bruno).
  • Deliver production-ready solutions by February 2026 compliance deadline.

Required Qualifications
  • 9-10 years of Java development (Spring Boot, Spring Framework).
  • 5+ years of Python development.
  • Strong background in healthcare/claims data and CMS mandates.
  • Experience with GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Senior-level experience with SDLC, coding standards, and change management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Spark / PySpark for large-scale data processing.
  • Linux shell scripting.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with Kibana, Splunk, or cloud monitoring tools.
  • AWS Cloud experience.
  • Database experience (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL).
  • Security remediation for Spring Boot applications.
