Machine Tool Technician

We are seeking a\nhighly skilled Expert Industrial Maintenance\nTechnician to join our team on-site at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. You will be essential in supporting a\ncritical customer contract by performing condition assessments, preventative\nmaintenance, and corrective repairs on up to 600\nindustrial assets.

This role requires a\nsafety-focused expert with strong skills in both mechanical\nand electrical/electronic systems, a growing knowledge of PLC controls, and a commitment to meticulous\ndocumentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and\n execute\n conditional assessments and preventative maintenance services.
\n
• Provide expert electrical/electronic\n expertise for\n rapid, accurate troubleshooting of all equipment.
\n
• Perform expert mechanical\n and electrical maintenance while strictly adhering to safety standards.
\n
• Utilize and develop\n understanding of PLC controls to support technical oversight.
\n
• Ensure all routine production\n equipment maintenance is completed to exceed customer expectations.
\n
• Provide technical\n oversight and training to customer maintenance personnel.
\n
• Create and maintain 100%\n accurate electronic service reports and expertly use CRM/Microsoft Office for communication.
\n
• Act as a key communicator\n with a general knowledge of metal cutting and fabrication.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Proven expertise as an\n industrial maintenance technician in electrical and mechanical systems.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting skills\n in complex electrical/electronic equipment.
\n
• Working knowledge of or\n ability to rapidly learn PLC controls.
\n
• High proficiency with\n electronic documentation systems (CRM, MS Office).
\n
• Exceptional communication and\n safety focus.
\n
• On-site role at the Norfolk\n Naval Shipyard.
