. Job Title: Software Engineer (Mainframe with JCL DB2)
Location: Alpharetta, GA || Berkeley Heights, NJ || Frisco, TX || Columbus, OH
Job Type: W2/Fulltime with Infinite Computer Solutions
2. Job Summary
This role is part of a professional services team working on Implementation and maintenance projects. This role should be competent to work at a high technical level in all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
What you will do:
Under general supervision, follow standards and previous work examples but uses creativity and analytical skills to support and improve delivered technical solutions. Exercises judgement within defined standard practice and procedures to analyze, design, program, debug, modify and implement technical solutions for our clients.
3. Experience Level
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Information Science or 8 10 years related practical experience.
  • 3 5 years of experience in a technical environment, specific consideration to e-commerce or banking industry.
4. Technical & any other expertise (Mandatory)
  • Thorough understanding of JCL, TSO, File Manager, CA7 batch scheduling or equivalent product and SFTP transmission protocols.
  • Working knowledge of DB2 Cobol programming and DB2 database structure.
  • Experience utilizing DB2 SQL using batch, QMF or Platinum products.
  • Experience troubleshooting batch abends in a mainframe environment.
  • Understanding of mainframe and distributed systems architecture

  • Ability to facilitate a collective team of business and technical personnel through event planning, event management and final resolution.
  • Ability to plan and prepare moderately complex technical solutions in support of migrations, product upgrades and related customer activity.
  • The ability to evaluate customer requirements and desired end state to recommend technical solutions with an understanding of key business drivers for the technical request.
  • Ability to support and create detailed work plans for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new associates.
