Job Description
Performs advanced (senior-level) computer programming in an IMS/application mainframe environment. Work involves overseeing programming projects, analyzing proposed applications, and designing software solutions. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Required skills:
- Bachelor s Degree or equivalent related work experience.
- 5+ years Detailed knowledge of developing and maintaining IMS/application mainframe applications
- 5+ years of CICS/BMS experience
- 5+ years of experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, REXX, ISPF, File-Aid or a similar product
Preferred skills:
- 5+ years of Hands-on experience with Mark IV
- 5+ years of ISPF and other IBM utilities experience
- 5+ years of Experience with File Aid
- 3+ years of Experience with Expediter
- 3+ years of Experience with JCL
- 3+years of IMS and VSAM experience
- 3+ years of Experience reading code, understanding business rules, and modifying programs based on user requirements
